Then Hezekiah repented of the pride of his heart, as did the people of Jerusalem; therefore the LORD'S wrath did not come upon them during the days of Hezekiah.

"Meshech and Tubal are there, with all their hordes around their graves. All of them are uncircumcised, killed by the sword because they spread their terror in the land of the living.

Then he said to them, "This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: 'Each man strap a sword to his side. Go back and forth through the camp from one end to the other, each killing his brother and friend and neighbor.'"

But your servants, every man armed for battle, will cross over to fight before the LORD, just as our lord says."

惟恐仇敌惹动我，只怕敌人错看说：‘是我们手的能力，并非耶和华所行的。’
but I dreaded the taunt of the enemy, lest the adversary misunderstand and say, 'Our hand has triumphed; the LORD has not done all this.'"

希西家大有尊荣资财。建造府库，收藏金银、宝石、香料、盾牌和各样的宝器；
Hezekiah had very great riches and honor, and he made treasuries for his silver and gold and for his precious stones, spices, shields and all kinds of valuables.

“我是耶和华，是凡有血气者的 神，岂有我难成的事吗？”
"I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?

他们不得与那未受割礼仆倒的勇士一同躺卧。这些勇士带着兵器下阴间，头枕刀剑，骨头上有本身的罪孽；他们曾在活人之地使勇士惊恐。”
Do they not lie with the other uncircumcised warriors who have fallen, who went down to the grave with their weapons of war, whose swords were placed under their heads? The punishment for their sins rested on their bones, though the terror of these warriors had stalked through the land of the living.

Then the man said, "Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with men and have overcome."

The Levites did as Moses commanded, and that day about three thousand of the people died.

Then Moses gave orders about them to Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun and to the family heads of the Israelite tribes.

They are a nation without sense, there is no discernment in them.

He also made buildings to store the harvest of grain, new wine and oil; and he made stalls for various kinds of cattle, and pens for the flocks.

耶和华如此说：“我必将这城交付迦勒底人的手和巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒的手，他必攻取这城。
Therefore, this is what the LORD says: I am about to hand this city over to the Babylonians and to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, who will capture it.

"You too, O Pharaoh, will be broken and will lie among the uncircumcised, with those killed by the sword.

Jacob said, "Please tell me your name." But he replied, "Why do you ask my name?" Then he blessed him there.

Then Moses said, "You have been set apart to the LORD today, for you were against your own sons and brothers, and he has blessed you this day."

“迦得子孙和流便子孙，凡带兵器在耶和华面前去打仗的，若与你们一同过约旦河，那地被你们制伏了，你们就要把基列地给他们为业；
He said to them, "If the Gadites and Reubenites, every man armed for battle, cross over the Jordan with you before the LORD, then when the land is subdued before you, give them the land of Gilead as their possession.

If only they were wise and would understand this and discern what their end will be!

He built villages and acquired great numbers of flocks and herds, for God had given him very great riches.

攻城的迦勒底人必来放火焚烧这城和其中的房屋。在这房屋上，人曾向巴力烧香，向别神浇奠，惹我发怒。
The Babylonians who are attacking this city will come in and set it on fire; they will burn it down, along with the houses where the people provoked me to anger by burning incense on the roofs to Baal and by pouring out drink offerings to other gods.

"Edom is there, her kings and all her princes; despite their power, they are laid with those killed by the sword. They lie with the uncircumcised, with those who go down to the pit.

So Jacob called the place Peniel, saying, "It is because I saw God face to face, and yet my life was spared."

How could one man chase a thousand, or two put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, unless the LORD had given them up?

It was Hezekiah who blocked the upper outlet of the Gihon spring and channeled the water down to the west side of the City of David. He succeeded in everything he undertook.

"The people of Israel and Judah have done nothing but evil in my sight from their youth; indeed, the people of Israel have done nothing but provoke me with what their hands have made, declares the LORD.

"All the princes of the north and all the Sidonians are there; they went down with the slain in disgrace despite the terror caused by their power. They lie uncircumcised with those killed by the sword and bear their shame with those who go down to the pit.

The sun rose above him as he passed Peniel, and he was limping because of his hip.

The Gadites and Reubenites answered, "Your servants will do what the LORD has said.

For their rock is not like our Rock, as even our enemies concede.

惟有一件事，就是巴比伦王差遣使者来见希西家，访问国中所现的奇事，这件事 神离开他，要试验他，好知道他心内如何。
But when envoys were sent by the rulers of Babylon to ask him about the miraculous sign that had occurred in the land, God left him to test him and to know everything that was in his heart.

From the day it was built until now, this city has so aroused my anger and wrath that I must remove it from my sight.

"Pharaoh--he and all his army--will see them and he will be consoled for all his hordes that were killed by the sword, declares the Sovereign LORD.

Therefore to this day the Israelites do not eat the tendon attached to the socket of the hip, because the socket of Jacob's hip was touched near the tendon.

But now, please forgive their sin--but if not, then blot me out of the book you have written."

We will cross over before the LORD into Canaan armed, but the property we inherit will be on this side of the Jordan."

他们的葡萄树是所多玛的葡萄树，蛾摩拉田园所生的。他们的葡萄是毒葡萄，全挂都是苦的。
Their vine comes from the vine of Sodom and from the fields of Gomorrah. Their grapes are filled with poison, and their clusters with bitterness.

The other events of Hezekiah's reign and his acts of devotion are written in the vision of the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.

The people of Israel and Judah have provoked me by all the evil they have done--they, their kings and officials, their priests and prophets, the men of Judah and the people of Jerusalem.

The LORD replied to Moses, "Whoever has sinned against me I will blot out of my book.
