If an enemy were insulting me, I could endure it; if a foe were raising himself against me, I could hide from him.

Instead of the thornbush will grow the pine tree, and instead of briers the myrtle will grow. This will be for the LORD'S renown, for an everlasting sign, which will not be destroyed."

But you, O God, will bring down the wicked into the pit of corruption; bloodthirsty and deceitful men will not live out half their days. But as for me, I trust in you.

Be merciful to me, O God, for men hotly pursue me; all day long they press their attack.
