耶和华应允了以色列人,把迦南人交付他们,他们就把迦南人和迦南人的城邑尽行毁灭。那地方的名便叫何珥玛(“何珥玛”就是“毁灭”的意思)。
The LORD listened to Israel's plea and gave the Canaanites over to them. They completely destroyed them and their towns; so the place was named Hormah.

Then the elders of the town nearest the body shall take a heifer that has never been worked and has never worn a yoke

He rebuilt the high places his father Hezekiah had destroyed; he also erected altars to Baal and made an Asherah pole, as Ahab king of Israel had done. He bowed down to all the starry hosts and worshiped them.

But Joab replied, "May the LORD multiply his troops a hundred times over. My lord the king, are they not all my lord's subjects? Why does my lord want to do this? Why should he bring guilt on Israel?"

they spoke against God and against Moses, and said, "Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the desert? There is no bread! There is no water! And we detest this miserable food!"

祭司利未的子孙要近前来,因为耶和华你的 神拣选了他们侍奉他,奉耶和华的名祝福,所有争讼殴打的事都要凭他们判断。
The priests, the sons of Levi, shall step forward, for the LORD your God has chosen them to minister and to pronounce blessings in the name of the LORD and to decide all cases of dispute and assault.
